Red-Shouldered Hawks in Browns Valley - they are "Red-Shouldered ELEGANS" type.
There is a beautiful piece of land in Browns Valley, called "Shadowbrook Oaks Trail", where huge, old oak trees
grow along the Little Dry Creek. This place is still pretty "wild", in the middle of rural area of Sierra Nevada Foothills.

Over many years there I could hear distant hawks calling around those old oaks - but finally this year,
during Memorial Day Weekend of 2010, I was really lucky to spot Hawks Nest.
